Birds and Eggs = SPRINGTIME!

How cute is this. I watched Martha make it on her show today...I'm going to use my cherry tree branches and make this darling arrangment for my coffee table!

Spring cannot get here soon enough for me...the children are outside and I will not let them come in-it's way too nice out there to be spending time indoors!

Where Did Fall Go?

I can't believe all this snow! I walked outside to close the garage door...and it was a blizzard! Maddie, Wills and J.T. were coloring at the dining room table and heard me gasp! That was all it took. J.T. ran home to get into snow gear and Maddie and William just ran out into it with hardly appropriate clothing! Within a few minutes, William was begging for gloves, boots, coat, hat, etc. Maddie was right behind him. They got all bundled up and played outside for a couple of hours-until it was too dark to see!

The beginnings of Frosty! Look at all that snow!

Uncle Kevin came home in the middle of all this and started a snowball fight...good times!

Frosty and his little baby! William is so happy. Hopefully by tomorrow it will all be melted and the temperature will keep rising!

I LOVE FALL!

things i love about fall:

  • the leaves changing in the canyon
  • driving in the Miata with the top down
  • fall decorating-gourds, cinderella pumpkins, etc.
  • halloween decorating-witches, haunted houses, ghosts,
  • all the yummy candle scents
  • windows and doors open during the day
  • turning on the furnace...turning off the a.c.
  • wearing sweaters again
  • wearing my ugg slippers as shoes...everywhere!
  • thanksgiving with family
  • turning on the oven again after a long hot summer
  • long sleeve white shirts under short sleeve shirts on Will
  • byu football, of course!

This change of season been especially wonderful. After such a hot summer, the cooler weather is very welcome. Even though I'm not looking forward to winter, I am enjoying the breeze and the fact that I can turn my oven on again and make something other than on the grill. I refused to turn my oven on this summer...it was way too hot. It seems like everyone is loving this weather and looking forward to Halloween!
